Mr. Andy Unanue / AUA Private Equity Partners
Andy Unanue is a Managing Partner of AUA Private Equity Partners, LLC. Prior to founding the firm, Mr. Unanue established AU & Associates, LLC, the family office for the Unanue family. Between 1991 and 2004, he held various senior management positions at Goya Foods, Inc. including Chief Operating Officer, where he was involved in strategic planning, new product development, advertising, media, and community relations. One of his greatest successes included expanding Goya's recognition from primarily Hispanic homes to becoming a household name.
Mr. Unanue is the Chairman of the Board of Associated Foods Holdings, LLC and serves on the boards of KABR Real Estate Partners, Opt-Intelligence, Inc., TRUFOODS, LLC, and eSchoolData, Inc. Mr. Unanue is also a Founding Board Member of the New America Alliance Inc. (NAA) and serves on several not-for-profit organizations including Ballet Hispanico, The C&J Unanue Foundation, and is a member of the University of Miami's President Council.
Mr. Unanue was previously an Operating Executive of Palladium Equity Partners, a private equity firm with over $2 billion of assets under management. He also served as Employer Trustee for the United Food & Commercial Workers International Union Pension Fund and was an active member of New York City Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg's Transition Committee.
In 2011, Restaurant Business named Mr. Unanue 'Entrepreneur of the Month' and northjersey.com & The Record newspaper named him one of the country's “2011: People to Watch”.
Mr. Unanue received his MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management and a BA from the University of Miami.
